Nebula's Corner

【 This Week in Himawari || Week 2 】

This week has been a bit odd when it comes to Minecraft. Mainly because I've been really focused on Marvel Rivals rather than Minecraft, lol. I don't think I played Minecraft until Thursday other than maybe for like a minute or two? Nothing like builds, projects, or exploration. Like, I worked in creative to get an idea for how the nether hub tunnels would look.

Then this weekend I locked in, and worked on a moss farm, getting netherite, and today I went to an ancient city.

Moss farm is completed, and I got everything but the ceiling of the moss farm complete, although I need to make a building that's in front of the farm. I made the farm across the river that's closest to the meadow biome since I'm wanting to make some flower farms up in the meadow, but I do also have a flower forest where I'll be making flower farms, too, since that's the only place I can get tulips. Either way, it's closer to where like, I should be building farmland and flower fields.

I feel like everything is getting so spread out, which I both want, but also I really want to build up a town area. I need to focus on what the central part of the town will look like especially since I have a fountain marking it. OH, and the next thing I need to work on is mason villagers because I'm going to need a lot of quartz for my nether hub tunnels.

I also have this idea for how i want the stronghold to look like, kind of. Just a vague impression. I saw this art by paddysol and got super inspired by the archways that I'm now trying to find all sorts of places to put them.

And then, of course, the eleventh season of hermitcraft, which I watched most of that while I was mining for netherack, which is the worst netherack mining I've had in any world. I usually just like to mine for ancient debris with my pickaxe and it goes just fine but I kept running into so many lava caves? The bottom of lava lakes. I didn't realize that my area in the nether had such a large lava ocean because I've been able to walk to most locations in the nether, or I would be pillaring out to get to a specific location through nether hub, which I'm not surprised when that has me pillaring out over a lava lake.

I recently updated my map to show the changes I made in the area, and I was a little disappointed to see not much had changed. I have to keep reminding myself that I'm not a minecraft youtuber whose job it is to play minecraft, and I can only reasonably be expected to do 1/10 of what they can get done in the same timeframe.

It's still disappointing.

But I think that's also why I wasn't playing as much this past week. Next week I want to try getting more buildings up, and maybe start working on a concrete idea for how the main square is going to look.

I need to get a wool farm going, and start working on other animal farms. And the docks!!! There's so much I want to do.

An idea for how I would like the nether hub to look. I think I may go just a little bit taller, though.

I don't usually have shaders on except for when I want to take pictures because for some reason it makes me feel like I'm going slower than usual. It's really weird. I think it's just that my compute can't keep up with it. Either way, the exception I make to this is when I'm in an ancient city because it's just so beautiful with shaders.
